What is Business Coaching?
Business Coaching is a relatively new profession that helps business owners plan better, take better actions and improve their bottom line results.
A recent study by the National Federation of Independent Businesses found that in 90% of the businesses in the small to medium sized range; it was common for owners to turn to spouses or family members for the majority of their business advice – this can seem like a productive and even an extremely cost effective approach but we know two things that are even more important. The first thing is: it’s really hard to fire one of your family members. (And it certainly makes for tense moments around the Thanksgiving dinner table). The second thing is the following…
"As a former professional athlete, I know the value of coaching! Brendan is my personal business coach and I have been very happy with my results. He has helped me focus in on what I must do to set myself apart from the rest in the very competitive insurance industry. I am confident Brendan’s professional experience and knowledge can help you as well!"
The fact is: most small businesses eventually fail, with over 70% the first year! This is where the Business Coach comes in. You might describe us as your personal trainer for your business. When celebrities or anyone really gets serious about losing weight and getting in shape, clearly the fastest and most efficient way is to get with their personal trainer on a regular basis. It’s all about results. And so, similarly, Business Coaches meet with the owner on a regular basis for an extended period of time to set goals, create strategies, ensure actions are being taken, provide tools, train the owner and staff, measure results, and refine those strategies which were originally set. It’s a repeatable process that works. So let’s just say it again; it’s all about results.
And in an effort to build and shape tomorrow’s leadership, we have a special program designed to get college and service bound high school students to begin to focus on life’s goals and build the character they will need to meet those challenges head on: we call this our "Tomorrow’s Visionaries Today" (TVT) program.
